Lamp types require time to warm up, and thus need to be kept on even when UV irradiation is not required (Normally uses a shutter to cut off UV irradiation). Using a LED light source at 1/5 duty (Process tact time 5 with irradiation time 1) will extend the life to 100,000H or more. This is more than 33times longer life compared to lamps.
